Bruuuuuuuucccccceeee!!!!

I saw the coolest bar band last night. Maybe you've heard of them? Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band?

When applied to most acts, the term "bar band" would be derogatory. In this specific case it is the highest praise.

Their music is straight forward and unpretentious. They know what they are, revel in it, and do it better than anyone else. I really got the sense last night that if for not for the arena sized venue, their show has changed very little from their Asbury Park days.

It takes a lot to get me to a show nowadays but I gave in to the pressure of, "You have to Springsteen at least once in your lifetime."

They were right.
